Biography
With his curly blonde locks, and womanising ways, Dalts would not strike you as a fearsome full back. However when on the pitch, a Gabriel Heinze-like character emerges. When not stopping attacks, Dalton can often be found strutting around his 1st floor Florey Mansion, or "socialising" in various night-time establishments. Indeed Tom believes that all parts of a night out should be savioured, whether that be at the bar, the dancefloor, or occasionally even the toilet.
Widely recognised as the finest player to have ever come from feeder club Queen's Park Rangers, Dalton has finally progressed to Queen's after 7 seasons in the youth sides at QPR. A Queen's record fee of £11 million was agreed in the summer for this prodigious talent, although some have questioned such a large fee for a full-back. Among these was lifelong Queen's fan, Joe Bloggs. "I mean, yes he looks pretty sharp in practice, and he's held his own in games, but just because he has hair like Lionel Messi doesn't mean we should pay a similar fee for him."
Others such as QPR youth manager Jose Mourinho have responded, defending the talent they have nutured since the tender age of 12. "Fans at Queen's have questioned the price they paid for the lad, but like a fine wine, he'll only get better with age. As for the comparision with Messi, I'd prefer to look at Gabby Heinze, who only cost £4million less than Dalton. Heinze was class, but Dalton is in a different league and they'll soon realise that".
Whether Dalton really can live up to the standards set by his hair-buddy Heinze is still to be seen, but in the meantime local fans are still struggling to come to terms with having Tom Walton and Tom Dalton in the same team. Rumours in training suggest that the Walts-Dalts combo is a move few defences will be able to handle, although it has yet to be witnessed in a proper match.
